Prantl’s Bakery first opened its doors in Shadyside. It was here that the original owner Henry Prantl created the now famous Burnt Almond Torte. Prantl’s flagship location remains today. The bakery is located at 5525 Walnut Street. Walnut Street is a three block stretch that offers high-end shopping, restaurants, and local specialty shops.

You may stop by and browse our cases filled with tortes, thumbprints, gobs, cookies, cakes, Danish, and more. Or order in advance at prantlsbakery.com. You can order any of these items plus catering trays with as little as a two-day notice. If you don’t have time to pick up your order, choose delivery during checkout.
